FEATURED STORY: TRAILING THE SWISS ALPS

Matt and Lauren trail run in the swiss alps / call to action to explore the article.
Bound through Switzerland’s most majestic trails with photographer Clayton Hermann and friends as they hustle foot alongside the Bernese Oberland, completing an impressive 72 miles and 21k+ of vertical feet climbed.

Home to lush green valleys and steep, highcountry terrain, the Bernese Oberland sometimes also known as the Bernese Highlands, is the highest and southernmost part of the canton of Bern.

This photo essay, featuring runners Matt Burbach and Lauren Batcheck, showcases
the hard-earned views of the rugged, way-
up trails only the brave (or cows) are willing to endure.

SAND TO SNOW

Morocco’s impeccably steep terrain, known among locals as ‘Idraren Draren’—i.e. Mountains of Mountains—provided a sharp pivot from MHW Athlete Bryce Barnes’ glacial home in Alaska. In this travel journal, Bryce reflects on going beyond his comfort zone while exploring a new place and being immersed in a different culture.
