Stretchdown™ weaves pockets of down insulation from a single stretch fabric, giving you freedom to move. A durable material blend comes together with the highest quality goose down insulation in an ultra-engineered construction to combine warmth and movement for the full range of winter activities. From trailhead to summit, over bases or under a waterproof shell: this layer is made to mobilize.
MHW ambassador Cody Kaemmerlen warms up in the Super/DS™ Stretchdown Hooded Jacket.
BENEFITS
Warmth tech: Whether at the trailhead or the summit, a layer of interlocking and overlapping strands lock in still air to maintain consistent warmth no matter your level of exertion or the outside temps. Insulated with the highest quality goose down insulation, certified by the Responsible Down Standard and sourced from Allied Feather & Down, it not only insulates more efficiently, with the lowest bulk, its diligent and environmentally safe cleaning process ensures it lasts longer.
MHW ambassador Genevive Walker pulls down on her hoody, stretching significantly, while hiking outside of Salt Lake City
Stretch fabric: Steady comfort through the highs and lows of a day in the mountains, allowing full range of motion for scrambling and hiking while holding up to contact with your environment. A flexible, abrasion- and tear-resistant material blend that stretches when you move is densely woven to contain down, block cold from entering, and allow moisture and excess heat to escape.
Cody tosses a snack for Genevive to catch in her mouth, sitting on their Super/DS™ Stretchdown Hooded Jackets as makeshift blankets while on their hike.
Durable build: A three-piece hood contours around the neck and head, optimizing warmth and shielding skin from the full spectrum of cold-weather conditions you might encounter on fall and winter trail outings. Interweaving fibers from a single cut of fabric form inextricable weave lines across the body in a horizontal, staggered pattern, creating pockets for down insulation that hold it securely in place. Insulation pockets are larger in areas where range of motion is greater to reduce tension points and improve stretch while holding a larger volume of down to concentrate warmth around the core. Smaller baffling on the side body eliminates bulk, helping articulate the shape of the jacket for layering.

Stretchdown™weaves pockets of down insulation from a single stretch fabric, giving you freedom to climb. A durable material blend comes together with the highest quality goose down insulation in an ultra-engineered construction to combine warmth and movement for the full range of winter sending. Wear it on route or on belay: this layer is made to mobilize.
MHW athlete Alex Johnson, crouches down, hands in armpits, while warming up in the Women's Stretchdown™ Hybrid Hoody.
BENEFITS
Warmth tech: Whether on the ground or at the crux, a layer of interlocking and overlapping strands lock in still air to maintain consistent warmth no matter your level of exertion or the outside temps. A flat-faced, un-insulated section below the waist slides under a harness without bunching to keep core warmth in place while providing coverage when reaching for the next hold, jugging up the rope, or giving out slack. Insulated with the highest quality goose down insulation, certified by the Responsible Down Standard and sourced from Allied Feather & Down, it not only insulates more efficiently, with the lowest bulk, its diligent and environmentally safe cleaning process ensures it lasts longer.
Mid belay, full stretch, not a problem while wearing the Stretchdown™ Hybrid Hoody
Stretch fabric: Steady warmth in sending season, allowing full range of motion for your highest holds while holding up to rock contact. A flexible, abrasion- and tear-resistant material blend that stretches when you move is densely woven to contain down, block cold from entering, and allow moisture and excess heat to escape.
Alex makes her way up the rock while wearing the Stretchdown™ Hybrid Hoody.
Durable build: Zippered hand pockets above the waist remain unobstructed from a harness while climbing or belaying.
